Large Flowered Gladiolus
2002 INTRODUCTIONS

FASHION (Madson, 2002)(434)(LM) Develops tall, nearly five foot plants in the garden. A true salmon color made most appealing by its complete veining with cream throughout the smooth florets. Opens 8-10 on flower head 3O" or more. A great flower for those floral baskets used on your special occasions. This beauty is also very vigorous and propagates well. [(Seedling#B.P. 14-95)(Dr. Maggie x Fond Memory)]

NECESSITY (Madson-Fischer, 2002)(485)(LM) Few plant species display the blue and violet color shades in heir blooms as well as the gladiolus. Here is a glad that so eloquently produces blue-violet florets on long, graceful spikes up to 3’ in length. A dependable grower and likely to be a top cut flower variety. Opens 7-9 florets with ease. [(Seedling#B.P. 35-94)(Violetta x Open)]

SNAPSHOT (Madson, 2002)(427)(M) Good orange glads are hard to find. This one is a uniquely deep, almost burnt orange with a large lime-yellow throat. Opens 7-8 ruffled florets on long 28-32" flower heads. A tall, stately grower with an easy to cut handle [(Seedling#B.P. 37-96)(Mr. Fox x Gold Coin)].

TOKEN (Madson. 2002)(343)(E) Healthy, tal1, straight plants with nearly 3' flower heads are the foundation for this fantastic new variety. The triangular smooth florets are displayed in a ribbon of color up the stems. Color is a pastel rose-pink with a light yellow throat accented precisely with deep rose lower midribs. An excellent early cut flower with vigor, propagation and order of beauty. Opens 8-10 florets at a time. [(Seedling#B.P. 107-96)(little Peach x Satisfaction)].
